Scheduled Works in the Data Center
Sunday, June 25, 2017 was a working day for IT Center engineers, who conducted preventive work in the data center.
Administrators have replaced a faulty hard disk in a disk array: sometimes it happens that in an array of 24 disks one is out of order.
After that, the engineers replaced the tapes in the backup library. Fresh tapes with monthly copies of information are stored outside the data center — this is the backup policy of IT Center.
One of the network switches in IT Cloud Cloud, administrators have replaced the switch with a large number of ports: the growth in the number of customers forces the IT infrastructure to support an adequate volume.
In addition, the engineers carried out the prevention of the server in the cluster.
We always organize preventive work without stopping running applications and in the background mode for the clients. Reserving infrastructure using the N+1 formula leaves the IT Center engineers with room for maneuvers in this matter.
